SAE4140 Hot Rolled Steel Bars is made of medium carbon chromium molybdenum alloy steel, which is an alloy steel containing chromium and molybdenum. It has the advantages of stable composition, low harmful elements, high steel purity, small decarburization layer and few surface defects. It is easy to be spheroidized and has low cold cracking rate.
SCM440 steel round bars have better strength and good comprehensive mechanical properties after heat treatment, and is easier to process under heat treatment. It has excellent quenchability, can be deeply quenched and the temper brittleness tendency is less, widely used in the production of high strength steel fasteners such as engine, mold, motor, gear, transmission parts, cylinder piston shaft, arm, cold forging parts, screw, etc..
